Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the process for creating a mural?

For 26 years, Eyeful Art has specialized in hand-painted murals, bringing artistic visions to life on walls and other surfaces. Here is the process:

- Initial Consultation - Proposal - Design Development - Mural Prep - Project Fulfillment

2. How much is my investment?

Since every project is unique, we craft custom estimates for every mural. We base our estimates on four factors: location, size, placement and intricacy of design. Schedule a free consultation with us and we’ll be glad to quote a mural that meets your specific needs.

A 25% to 50% deposit custom design fee applies to non-school mural projects. However, we can be flexible with the deposit if your company operates on a net 30 payment basis. The type of payment is determined on a case-by-case basis.

3. Will I see a sketch before you begin work?

Upon contract sign off and deposit, we start with an initial rough concept (and in some cases a visual reference of a past similar job) to start. We can provide up to 2 revisions inclusive of the cost. Additional revisions are possible at an hourly rate if required.

4. How long does the art work usually take to complete?

Every mural project is unique, and factors such as location, size, placement, intricacy, and weather will affect the timeline

5. Are you insured?

Yes, we are an insured mural painting business and art gallery. We can provide a COI (Certificate of Insurance) upon contract sign off. If your place of business is required to be included as “additional insured” on our insurance, please send over a sample COI with coverage requirements. We would typically require 3-5 business days’ notice to generate a COI.

6. If I hire you for outdoor work, could the job be done in any weather?

For outdoor work, the temperature needs to be at least 35-40 degrees F. It is possible to paint in lower temperatures but it is not recommended. We cannot work in rain or snow unless adequate shelter is provided.

7. How long will the artwork last?

We use top quality spray paint/materials and indoor murals will last decades. Outdoor murals can also last for several years depending on the amount of direct sunlight.

8. Do you print and install vinyl?

Vinyl Printing and Installation: This service involves producing graphics or designs on vinyl material, which can then be applied to various surfaces. Vinyl is often used for signage, wall decals, or advertisements due to its versatility and ease of installation. However, while vinyl can be cost-effective and quick to apply, it may not always have the same longevity or aesthetic appeal as more traditional methods.

9. What happens if the art work is vandalized?

There is always a small chance of exterior art work being vandalized although it rarely happens from our experience. We are always open to coming back to fix any artwork that has been defaced at an hourly rate.

10. What are the maintenance requirements for a mural? Do I need a permit to have art work (graffiti) on the exterior of my property?

As long as you have permission from the property owner (could be yourself), you do not need a permit to have art work, (yes, graffiti included) on the exterior of your property. (This could vary based on the city we are working in.) If you are painting an advertisement as opposed to public artwork, it may be subject to local signage laws.

11. What is the optional licensing add-on?

An additional option available is to add on a license package. We will provide you with print-ready files of the mural design to be used to put the image on various products, such as t-shirts, tote bags, mugs, etc. This license is subject to the terms of agreement in the mural contract.
